August 16 | Corral de Tierra Country Club, Salinas, CA

There’s no doubt that the Porsche brand is seeing a surge of popularity and attention from enthusiasts. Porsche Club of America created Werks Reunion in 2014 as a free event to celebrate Porsche models from every decade and to encourage camaraderie amongst enthusiasts. The event features street cars, restomods, outlaws, hot rods, and much more. More than 800 Porsches will be displayed and hundreds more are expected in the spectator parking lot.

The RMMR races take place at the WeatherTech Raceway at Laguna Seca and provides an opportunity for spectators to see historic race cars compete. Entrance to the paddock is free to the public, where spectators enjoy a close view of the drivers and the more than 500 vintage cars participating. Be sure to visit the Mazda Motorsports garage to hear a symphony of four-rotor, earsplitting sonic mastery. For this event, we recommend planning to stay all day to enjoy the breathtaking Pacific sunset.

Bonhams | August 15-16 | Quail Lodge & Golf Club, Carmel, CA

The week’s series of auctions attracts leading international collectors to the beautiful California coast to bid on the finest classic cars in the world. This year, one of the Aston Martin DB5s driven by James Bond in Goldfinger and Thunderball will be hitting the action block at RM Sotheby’s, complete with all the gadgets seen in the movies.

Auctions of this caliber are always amazing, but if you are pressed for time, go in the evenings when the marquee high value cars are crossing the block. The Hagerty’s Insider app can keep you up to date on the cars being sold as well as viewing and auction start times.
