By some measures, La Carrera Panamericana is the toughest classic race in the world, spanning seven days and 3,200 km through Mexico. Special speed sections feature 550 km of closed public roads for full-speed racing. There is a reason the roll-cages are thicker than in any other race. On a track you cannot fall off a 500 foot cliff.
