A very cosmopolitan take on the current Nissan GT-R comes in the form of the GT-R50 by Italdesign. Interestingly, the sophisticated exterior shape was not conceived by the famed Italian design house. Instead, it was crafted by Nissan studios in London and San Diego; Italdesign was enlisted to build the short-run series.

A large, adjustable rear wing and a stunning rear-end treatment are among the concept’s highlights. The LED headlights are stretched into the far corners of the front end flanking a distinctive grille. Inside, carbon fiber, Alcantara, and leather are the prominent materials.

Under the power-bulge-fitted hood, the GT-R50 features a turbocharged 3.8-liter V-6 by Nismo that produces 710 horsepower. To accommodate the increased power, the suspension has been revised with the Bilstein DampTronic system, and the Brembo brakes have been upgraded.

Nissan’s initial announcement said that Italdesign will build no more than 50 vehicles. Pricing is set to start at $1.1 million.
